Continental played host to a tri match on Saturday morning with Miller City and Toledo Woodward. In the first match the Pirates showed that they were serious about defending the home court as they swept the Woodward Polar Bears 25-10 and 25-6. Fun fact about Woodward, Actors/Entertainers Jamie Farr and Danny Thomas are among the Polar Bear graduates.
In the second match the Volley Pirates took on Putnam County rival Miller City. The first game saw the Pirates win 25-20. The second game was even closer as the Pirates finished out the day in fashion with a 25-23 win.
In the other game of the tri match Miller City defeated Woodward 25-11 and 25-10.
The Pirates improve to 3-1 and will volley next on Monday night as they travel to Lincolnview. Miller City is now 1-3.
