Volley Pirates Record Improves to 6 Wins, McDougle Sets New School Record

Lady Pirates 2, Holgate 1
Continental High picked up win 5 on Monday (9/26)  with a sweep over host Holgate.  Pirates took game 1, 25-9.  A hard fought game 2 also went the Pirates way 25-22.  The Pirates made it a quick night by taking game 3, 25-13,
Delaney Bowers led the Pirates with 20 digs, 4 aces, 3 blocks and kills. Teaghan McDougle had 21 assists and 8 digs.  Rhaegan Marshall 11 kills, 8 digs and 4 blocks.  Macie Cordes 9 digs and 5 kills.  Lauren Williams 8 digs, 7 kills, and 2 blocks.  Continental improves to 5-11 and travelled to Edgerton on Thursday.  Holgate is now 4-9.
In the Saturday game against Delphos Jefferson, Teaghan McDougle set a new Pirates standard for assists with 52 in the 5 game match.  Congratulations Teaghan!
Lady Pirates 0, Edgerton Bulldogs 3
On Thursday (9/28), Continental venture North and West as they took on Edgerton in non league Volleyball.  A hard fought match had the Bulldogs take the first game 25-15.  Game 2 went the Bulldogs way 25-23.  It took extras but the Bulldogs made it a sweep by taking game 3 26-24.  Bulldogs 3-0.
Rhaegan Marshall led the Pirates with 9 kills, 4 blocks and 3 digs.  Delaney Bowers 5 kills, 11 digs, 4 blocks.  Teaghan McDougle 18 assists and 11 digs. Macie Cordes 5 kills, 3 aces and digs.  Lauren Williams 7 digs and 2 blocks.  Olivia Logan 10 digs.  Continental falls to 5-12 and will be at Lima Senior on Saturday.  Edgerton is now 11-3.
Lady Pirates 3, Lima Senior 0
Continental High Volleyball has a lot more success this year than they have in the recent past.  The Pirates picked up win 6 as they defeated visiting Lima Senior on Saturday in on league action.  The Pirates took a hard fought game 1, 25-23.  Game 2 was all Pirates as they won it 25-12.  The Pirates made it a sweep with a 25-16 win in game 3.  Pirates 3-0.
Teaghan McDougle led the PIrates with 23 assists and 13 digs.  Rhaegan Marshall had 12 kills.  Delaney Bowers had 7 kills and 16 digs.  Lauren Williams had 3 blocks.  Continental improves to 6-12 and will host Antwerp on Monday.  Lima Senior falls to 5-13.
