VolleyPirates Add A Win & A Loss

Rockets Edge VolleyPirates in 5
On Thursday Pandora-Gilboa High Volleyball team trekked North and West to take on the Pirates at the Cove. A tightly contested Putnam County League match was on the plate as the Rockets took game 1 25-16. Game 2 went to the Rockets with an identical 25-16 score. The Pirates battled back to take game 3 25-23. Another close game went the Pirates way as they took game 4 25-23. The final game and match went the Rockets 15-11.

Brooke Bradford had 14 Kills and 22 digs. Breanne Eickholt had 11 Kills and 2 Blocks. Tygre Troyer had 9 kills and 2 blocks. Kennedy Hiltner had 3 aces and 24 digs. Madelyn Potts had 27 digs.

Continental falls to 1-8 (0-3 PCL) and will travel to Hilltop on Saturday. Pandora-Gilboa improves to 6-3 (1-1 PCL).

VolleyPirates Take Thriller Over Hilltop Cadets
A day that saw momentum change had it go the Pirates way in game 5 on Saturday at Hilltop. The Cadet Volleyball team opened up the match by taking the first game in extras 29-27. The second game went the Pirates way 25-13 to even the day after 2 games. Another Pirate win in game 3 25-16 put the Pirates within one win of taking the match. The Cadets battled back in the fourth game 26-24 to take the match to a fifth game. The Pirates ended up the winners 15-9. Pirates 3 Cadets 2.

Jessica Stauffer had 57 assists, 18 digs, and 6 kills. Madelyn Potts had 29 digs and 4 aces. Kennedy Hiltner had 24 digs, 6 kills, and 2 aces. McKenzie Rayle had 23 digs and 11 kills. Tygre Troyer had 11 kills and 8 blocks.

Continental improves to 2-8 and will travel to Lima Perry on Monday for a nonleague match. Hilltop is now 3-6.
