Saturday Continental High Volleyball Seniors Aislynn Noffsinger, Mallorie Barnhart and Gracie Homier played their last regular season game against Lima Senior. The host DIII Spartans were on a 6 game winning streak that included claiming the Toledo City Conference Volleyball title. The DVII Pirates were on a 3 game losing streak. The Pirates were up to the task as they took the Spartans in a thrilling 3 game match. Pirates took games 1 and 2 with identical 25-16 scores. Game 3 was a thriller but the Pirates sealed the deal in extras 26-24.
Senior Aislynn Noffsinger had 2 aces, 15 digs, and a kill. Mallorie Barnhart had 8 digs, an ace, and 2 kills. Gracie Homier had 3 aces, and 2 digs. Macie Clemens had 7 kills, 2 digs, and 5 aces. Kenzie Searfoss had 3 kills, 11 digs, 13 assists, and 4 aces. Brynn Thomsen had 7 kills, 3 blocks, and 3 digs. Becca Sullivan had 5 digs and a kill. Brynlee McDougle had 2 kills, 7 digs, an ace, and 7 assists.
Continental improves to 10-12 and will travel to Kalida on Wednesday to take on Delphos St Johns in a DVII Van Wert District Sectional Final. Lima Senior falls to 11-11.
