Tuesday night Continental High Volleyball game at Ottoville had a big impact on the middle of the Putnam County League standings. With a win the Pirates would place no worse than 3rd, with a loss the Pirates and the Big Green would tie for 4th place. The start of the night went the Pirates way but after the first game it was all Green. Continental started out by taking the first game 25-21. It was all Big Green in game two as they evened the match with a 25-12 win. The Big Green would take the match lead at 2-1 with a 25-19 win in game 3. The Pirates drive for 3rd would end in game 4 as the Big Green finished off the match with a 25-9 win. Big Green 3-1.
Senior Delaney Bowers had 12 kills, 12 digs, 2 blocks and 2 aces. Senior Rhaegan Marshall had 9 kills and 8 digs. Teaghan McDougle had 44 assists and 9 digs. Kenzie Searfoss had 16 digs, 4 aces, and 2 blocks. Aislynn Noffsinger had 7 digs and 2 aces.
Continental falls to 14-8 (3-3 PCL) and will next play in OHSAA DIV Van Wert District action as they will play the winner of Kalida and Holgate on Thursday. The game will be at Kalida if the Wildcats and a Continental if the Tigers win. Ottoville improves to 13-9 (3-3 PCL).
