An exciting 5 game match went to visiting Continental High Volleyball Monday night at Paulding. The first game was an indication of what the rest of the match would behold as Continental would take game 1 in extras 29-27. Game 2 was also close and went to the Panthers 25-15. The next 2 games were a different story as they were 10 point wins. The Pirates would take game 3, 25-15 while the Panthers returned the favor in game 4 by an identical 25-15 score. The tiebreaking game 4 was a close 15-12 Pirate victory. Pirates 3-2 victors.
Senior Rhaegan Marshall led the Pirates with 19 kills, 14 digs, 4 blocks and 2 aces. Senior Delaney Bower had 16 kills, 25 digs, and 4 aces. Theaghan McDougle had 44 assists and 14 digs. Aislynn Noffsinger had 38 digs and 2 aces. Kenzie Searfoss had 19 digs, 3 blocks, and 3 aces. Macie Clemens had 5 kills 6 block assists, and 11 solo blocks.
Continental improves to 14-7 and will travel to Ottoville on Thursday for a key Putnam County League game. Paulding falls to 3-17.
