A game which saw the Continental High Girls Varsity offense struggled to find a rhythm after a quick start. The host Kalida Wildcats got on the board first with a basket. Catelyn Etter gave the Pirates their only lead of the game when she hit a 3 to put the Pirates up 3-2. A pair of baskets by the Wildcats made it a 3 point game. Maddie Burke put the Pirates to within 1 with a basket, Wildcats 6-5. The Wildcats would put in 6 more points in the quarter while the Pirates Bryn Tegnekamp put in the last basket for a 12-7 Wildcat lead after 1. The rest of the game was all Wildcats. In the second, the Wildcats put in 17 points while the Pirates got 3 from a Tygre Troyer basket and an Etter free throw. Wildcats 29-10 at half. A low scoring third quarter went the Wildcat way as they put in 8 of the 10 points scored. Burke hit a pair of free throws. Wildcats 37-12 after 3. The Pirates got points off baskets from Burke, Reese Knowles and a free throw from Jensen Prowant. Wildcats 49, Pirates 17 final. Maddie Burke led the Pirates with 6 points while Catelyn Etter put in 4. Bryn Tegenkamp, Tygre Troyer, and Reese Knowles scored 2 and Jensen Prowant 1. Etter hit the only 3 for the Pirates while the Wildcats put in 4. The Pirates outrebounded the Wildcats 32-23 with Catelyn Etter getting 15 borads.
