The weather forecast for late Wednesday evening (6/12) brought back unpleasant memories of last year’s June 29th windstorm. The weathermen even used the word “derecho” – a term most had never heard before last year and didn’t want to hear again. The night skies were lit with lightening and the rumble of thunder for most in the Continental area but a couple of residences in North Creek suffered severe damage in the storm. Below are pictures taken in the area of B13 and 18A, on the south edge of North Creek, where a trailer with a family inside blew over and a barn was demolished.
