Continental Senior Connections will meet on Tuesday, April 14 @ 11:30 in the Small Hall at the Continental American Legion. Our featured speaker for the April meeting is Heather Weller. Heather will be sharing information and helpful tips about “When the Squad Comes to Your House”. In 2004 Heather participated in the EMS Ride Along Program while a senior at Continental High School. She joined the Continental EMS in 2006 and has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Chief and is currently the Continental EMS Chief. Her fulltime job is working as a home health and hospice nurse for Putnam County Homecare and Hospice. Heather is also trained in the GriefShare program offered in Continental and she will be sharing about the upcoming class starting in May.
What to expect at a Senior Connections gathering? Everyone orders off the menu (if you want to eat), Karen shares upcoming opportunites followed by the guest speaker. There will be a Share Table that is free – bring items you no longer use but someone else may need (no medications!). We do not card anyone at the door, all are welcome regardless of age or residency!! The Ohio Northern University Mobile Health Clinic will be set up in the parking lot for medical services.
