You’re Invited to Jane’s Crazy Christmas Community Walk, Dec 19

December 15, 2015 by Karen Donaldson

Jane's Crazy Christmas Community Walk Banner

Jane Deken celebrated Christmas as she did life – she went all in with her heart and soul. Join the Deken family in remembering Jane on December 19, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., at “Jane’s Crazy Christmas Community Walk” at Sparling Park, on the corner of North Main and West Forrest Street in Continental, Ohio. All proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association.

We are organizing this Community Walk because we want to honor our mom’s passion and love for helping others. We are committed to walk and raise money for this inspirational event to join the fight against diabetes.  With that being said, we give you….

“A Christmas Wish to End Diabetes

This event, will feature not only the walk itself, but will be highlighted with an enormous amount of activities that will be held in Sparling Park. The first of many activities will be a sugar free bake sale. This will include homemade items that everyone will enjoy during this wonderful holiday season. From your mom’s famous baked goods to your grandma’s special recipes.

Imagine not having to wrap all of your gifts this year. Well your dream has now become reality with the gift wrapping station that will be in operation throughout the morning. Bring your presents and let us wrap them for you as you help the community ring in support of diabetes awareness.

None of those above events sound appealing to you? You’re in luck! Jane’s Crazy Walk will also feature family carriage rides around the town with Santa’s favorite reindeer. While the reindeer are getting exercise, be sure to bring your kids and get your picture taken with none other than, SANTA CLAUS!

Again, Jane’s Crazy Walk has been organized to not only celebrate the great holiday of Christmas, but to also celebrate the life of our mother, Jane Deken. At the end of the day, we hope that you all will take part in our adventure as we make this Christmas wish to end diabetes come true!
