
CONTINENTAL — David L. Stauffer, 73, passed away on April 5, 2017, in Vinita, Oklahoma, where he had been a resident for the past 31 years.
He was born May 15, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Halley and Brownie (Geren) Stauffer. He was married to Judy A. Kindle for 23 years. She survives in Continental.
David is survived by two sons, John D. (Nancy) Stauffer of Ottawa and Jason A. (Sarah) Stauffer of Continental. He also had five grandchildren, Daniel Stauffer, Aaron Stauffer, Ella Stauffer, Wade Stauffer and Jessica Stauffer. A sister, Kathy (Evans) Pseekos, resides in Lima; and a niece, Chantelle Pseekos resides in Rhode Island.
David began his career as a tool and die maker at Weatherhead in Antwerp, Ohio, where he became a manufacturing engineer. He transferred to Vinita, Oklahoma, in 1986. While working in Oklahoma and also in Texas, he became a plant manager. After retiring, he worked a short time at the Oklahoma Turnpike.
David was a man of many talents, ranging from playing and making musical instruments, to working with and creating leather products. He also enjoyed shooting competitions.
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of his extended “family” and friends in Vinita who were always there for him.
A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Continental.

Dave was a nice friend in high school. My first musical experiences outside of band were with Dave. Great memories. My sincere condolences to Kathy and his family.
