Dennis C. Merritte (Weasel), age 71, of Continental, Ohio died June 19, 2020. He was born on August 4, 1948 in Defiance, Ohio to William (Craig) Merritte and Dorothy Ruth Finnegan. On October 27, 1967 he married Sharon Jean Schilt at the Melrose UM Church; together they shared 14 years.
Dennis loved watching the History Channel and he loved to cook. He worked at Weatherhead Corp., General Motors, and had many other jobs. He belonged to the Continental American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. On July 1, 2015 he got engaged to Pamela Tutwiler. Pamela had taken care of him from the day he got sick.
Dennis is survived by his Fiance Pamela Tutwiler of Continental, Ohio; sons Daniel, Jeffery, Troy, and Travis; daughter Jeanette; sister Glenda; 13 grandchildren and possibly more. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, parents Craig and Dorothy and his infant sister, Dorothy Elaine.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
