The Continental Lady Pirates (5-3) took on county rival Leipsic (6-3) in the opening game of the 33rd Ayersville Holiday Tournament. Close play saw the Vikings take a 2 point lead after the first quarter and expanding that lead to 6 at the half, 26-20. The second half was all Vikings as they outscored the Pirates by 14 for a 59-39 final. Leading the way for the Pirates was Paige Ordway with 19 points.
Pirates take on Hilltop in the consolation final at 6:00 pm tonight, December 28 at the Hanger in Ayersville. The Lady Pirates return to PCL action against Miller City on January 3rd.
