On Thursday, January 16, the Lady Pirates traveled to Ft. Jennings for another PCL match-up. The Pirates trailed at the end of the first quarter, 14-6 but were able to pick up 18 points in the second quarter compared to the Musketeers 5 points for 24-19 lead at the half. A stellar fourth quarter gave the Pirates a 55-41 PCL victory. Paige Ordway led the scoring with 21 points followed by Sloane Zachrich who had a double-double, with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Continental had seven turnovers vs Ft Jennings’ twenty.
On Saturday, January 18, the Lady Pirates went to Leipsic for their second match-up with the Leipsic Vikings this season. In the first game of the Ayersville Holiday Tournament, the Vikings ousted the Pirates 59-39. The Vikings proved to tough for the Pirates again as they pulled off a 67-44 PCL victory.
