The Continental Pirates enjoyed a pair of 1 goal varsity wins over Wauseon. The Girls hosted the Indians in a low scoring 1-0 victory. A late first half goal by McKenna Scott was all the Pirates needed as Goalies Emma Recker and Ashley Recker shutout the Indian offense. The Girls next host Crestview on Tuesday.
The Boys traveled to Wauseon to take on the Indians in the season opener. The Boys scored 3 with two goals from Gabe Williams and one from Derek Troyer while the Indians put 2 in the net. Goalie for the Pirates was Trevor Williams. This week the boys travel to Bath for the Bath Kickoff Classic. In the opening game Continental will face Lima Central Catholic at 5 pm on Tuesday. The Pirates will also play at Bath on Thursday in either the consolation game (5pm) or championship game (7pm).
Volleyball kicked off the season with a tri match at Miller City with the Wildcats and the Upper Scioto Valley Rams on Saturday. Games next week for the volleyball team are at Lincolnview (Tuesday 5:30pm) and hosting Hicksville (Thursday 6 pm).
