A new shelter house was recently added to Sparling Park on North Main Street in Continental. Features include a metal roof, electrical outlets, cement pad and picnic tables. Are there some park concerts in the future?? Its a great addition to our local playground – lets make efforts to keep it nice. Across the way, on the northeast corner of the park is the Centennial time capsule – wow, that 30 years went fast!

This is great news. A lot of us senior citizens grew up playing in that park. Ann Kruse, the Brower girls, Ruth Ann Marriott, the Bennett boys, and many others. Nice job, Continental!
