Tonight’s performance of “Annie” by the Continental High School Drama Department was well done all the way around! The production starring junior Gabby Ridgeway as Annie, freshman Garret Recker as Warbucks, senior Madison Mansfield as Miss Hannigan, and sophomore Page Lawhorn as Grace, was flawless and entertaining with great music and storyline. Although this is the final drama production for seniors McKenna Scott, Ian Jones, Madison Mansfield, Andrea Krendl, and senior crew members Cody Etter, Caleb Baker and Makenzie Mansfield, the young talent coming up to fill their shoes is very promising. The underclassmen included junior Amelia Weller, sophomores Melody Weaver, Dean Krendl, Cheyenne Morrison, freshmen Austin Morrison, Cameron Mason, Gabby Bendt, Sydney Eickholt, 8th graders Parker Wildermuth, Courtney Weaver, Ashley Mcleese, Konnor Okuley, Cole Bowers, Angel Brzozowski, 7th graders Justin Etter, Desiree Sharrits, Olivea Coble, 6th grader Ellie Schwarzman, 5th graders Kenna Okuley, Annika Bowers, Peyton Stauffer, and Kierstan Moran. CHS band and choir teacher Allison Davis (Director) and English teacher Chelsea Manon (Assistant Director).
A very special thank you to the Pit Band members – musicians from the Bowling Green area who joined our locals Pam Jones and Sam Bowers. 2000 CHS graduate Justin Brinkman (tuba) brought his musical talent back to CHS for this production of Annie. The music was beautifully done and surely added to the performance – thank you all for sharing your time and talents with our community – we greatly appreciate it!
There is one more opportunity to support these students on Saturday (4/11) night at 7:30pm in the Irene Casteel Auditorium. Tonight’s performance was one of the best attended in several years – wouldn’t it be great to have to put extra seating on the floor for Saturday’s performance! To the CHS Drama Department – Well Done!!

Well said, I applaud the cast, crew, and orchestra. The leadership of the seniors has passed to the entire cast. Very well directed and casting was wonderful.

Their second show was just as wonderful. Miss Davis is a welcome addition to the program. A little improv tonight, added lots of laughter. Hope we will be seeing more of Miss Davis talents next year.
