Taking on the Miller City Wildcats was just what was needed for the Volley Pirates to move into the win column. A rematch of the August 23 Wildcat sweep show how much the Pirates have moved forward this season. Continental won the first two sets 25-18 and 25-20 before the Wildcats battled back 25-22 to force a fourth game. In a tight fourth match the Pirates sealed up the victory with a 25-23 win. The Pirates now stand at 1-17, 1-5 in the PCL while Miller City is 3-17, 1-5 in the PCL.
This game was the Wildcats Blocking Out Cancer Game where proceeds from the game were donated to the Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program.
Miller City won the JV contest 25-13, 25-17.
The Pirates on Tuesday travel to Waynesfield–Goshen for a 6 pm non league tilt.
